Sesame Street - Elmo in Grouchland (Sing and Play)
From Sesame Street

ELMO'S BACK IN GROUCHLAND TO SING SOME OF HIS FAVORITE SONGSWITH HIS NEW FRIEND GRIZZY. THERE'S JUST ONE PROBLEM, GROUCHESAREN'T SUPPOSED TO COOPERATE, SO GRIZZY WON'T SING ALONG. NEVER DISCOURAGED ELMO STARTS SINGING HIS FAVORITE SESAME STREETTUNES, AND BEFORE LONG GRIZZY FINDS A WAY TO JOIN IN THE FUN.

This 45-minute short contains Sesame Street songs from the old days right up to the 1999 theatrical feature The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. Elmo hosts this companion piece to the theatrical film. However, the final product should put a smile on the faces of Elmo fans. Besides the songs from the movie, the Sesame Street gang sings (and words appear for the audience) pop tunes ("Sing") and classic songs from the show ("C is for Cookie," "Rubber Ducky"). The tape also contains an extended segment of Sesame Street in which Elmo learns all about bouncing balls. --Doug Thomas

My Elmo lover loves it!5
This is THE video to get for your little elmo fanatic! My 22 month old son can't seem to get enough of Sesame Street, especially Elmo. I bought this video to quench his never ending thirst for more Elmo and hit PAYDIRT!
This is isn't necessarily an educational video but it is tons of fun! The songs are great and Elmo is prominent throughout. It was even fun enough that I happily watch it with him (I usually take advantage of 'video time' to get chores done).
If your going to let your children watch t.v., Sesame Street is the wat to go. Normally don't advocate t.v. watching for children, but there is something special about Sesame Street that I make an exception for. My son has learned to count to ten, alot of the alphabet, and other miscellaneous things through a combination of myself and Sesame Street. For example, He recognizes letters and numbers when they come up on a video. When used as a supplement by parents (not a substitute), I think Sesame Street can be a useful (& fun) learning tool!
I also recommend these Sesame Street Videos:
-25th Anniversary, A Musical Celebration
-35th Anniversary, What's The Name Of That Song?
-The Best of Elmo (a must have for elmo lovers)
-Alphabet Jungle
-The Great Number Game
-Learning About Letters
-Learning About Numbers
-Monster Hits

Great video for Elmo lovers!5
My 2 year old daughter loves this video! There are lots of songs that she knows from Sesame Street as well as new ones that she has learned. It is quick moving and does not allow time for children to become bored with it. An excellent choice!

Totally Entertaining! Well worth it.5
We own this video, as well as the much-longer movie. The Sing and Play video is a great option for us--shorter than the movie, and non-stop songs! Our daughter smiles from the opening logo on. The tape's sort of a "return to Grouchland." Elmo is back in Grouchland to visit his grouch friend, Grizzy. They chat and introduce clips. Songs include the best of the movie's tunes (the blankie song, the one the plant sings, the welcome to Grouchland song), as well as some classics like "Rubber Duckie" and "I Love Trash." It also has the extensive "Elmo's Song" clip from the ep. of Sesame Street that introduced that now-famous tune. Words bounce across the screen of course. If your child loved the movie, this tape is a must-have! They'll enjoy revisiting the characters and sets with their favorite little monster.
